Lainate, September 2017 – Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics group with activities in the design,manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, today presents the new motor thermistor relay: the DTA04.

This is a DIN rail mounted thermistor relay whose main purpose is to protect electric motors from overheating, ensuring continuous production and preventing machine downtime.

The DTA04DM24 can be supplied with any voltage from 24V to 240V either AC or DC and it comes with 2 Normally Open NEMA B300 rated relay outputs. The operational mode can be configured as Auto or Manual reset. When wired as Manual, one function of the DTA04 indicates when the motor is ready for reset. The reset can be performed locally by means of a front switch or remotely by a remote switch. The “Ready for reset“ function is available in all our DTA thermistor relays.

Designed by our Competence Centre in Italy, this product is mainly suitable for pump monitoring and it is useful in all applications where motors are used, especially where overloads are frequent and may cause motor damage, such as pumping stations in water treatment plants, conveyors in material handling and chillers in HVAC systems.
